November Campfire

Please join us for our Campfire program on Nov. 21st at Rockburn Park!  Since we know how much our scouts love camping, we are trying this new activity to give the scouts a taste of what they love - playing games, eating, and skits in front of the campfire - while saving the parents from all that they "love" - Packing, traffic, sleeping on the ground, cleaning the tents, etc.

Agenda
4:30pm     Arrival and games, Intro by the Cubmaster
5:05-5:30  Dinner (Hot dogs and beans cooked over the fire, chips and water)
5:30 - 7     Campfire activity

Please sign up to the right if you're attending so we can get an appropriate hot dog count.  If you'd like to bring your own food to cook, we will have one of the pack stoves available for grilling.  We'd ask that if you are planning on eating from the pack provided food that you bring a small donation ($5/family) to cover the costs--payable when you get there.

Enter through West side of park
Off of Montgomery Road
Pass the schoolhouse on the left hand side
Next is the parking lot on the left hand side
It is on a slight hill so you may not see the fire ring right away.


What to bring/wear
Your scout (we know you want to leave him home)
Chairs for each family member
Weather appropriate clothing

Rain date
We don't have a specific rain date, but if the weather is bad, we'll try and reschedule for the spring (we've got a bunch of activities already planned in Jan/Feb.)
